Fine on traffic violations enhanced to Rs2,000 in Punjab

The Punjab government has heavily increased the amount of fine on smoke emitting and without license vehicles and the violation of one-way to whopping Rs2000, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

SSP Traffic Headquarters has issued the notification in this regard on Tuesday.

Earlier, the provincial government was fining Rs200 to Rs300 for the above-mentioned violations, according to traffic police officials. After the court orders, the traffic police was collecting Rs2,000 fines for the same violations while now the same amount would be collected from the same violations. Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has been directed to update the online system in this regard.
