“Get your facts right lady. Shakeel Sohail passed away 6 months before writing this song and the last he co-wrote with me was another single for you named Faraq Faraq. So Funkari was written, composed, and produced by me and you just came to sing it that only took 3 hours.”

Despite both parties' clarifications, Uppal opened up about the situation.

During a recent guest appearance in ‘Bakamal’. Uppal revealed the details of the situation.

The singer stressed that many people in the music business refused to give the true maestro behind their hit songs the credit they deserved. Additionally, Uppal claimed to have collaborated with music industry titans like Atif Aslam, so he called out Baig to set an example for others.
