Shiraz Uppal sets the record straight on feud with Aima Baig

Conflicts over credit are unfortunately quite common in the music industry, and artists are frequently caught up in such disputes.
In case readers are not aware, Shiraz Uppal, a Pakistani music artist wanted due credit for her single ‘Funkari’, but Aima Baig refused, resulting in an online spat between the two.
The lady claimed that it was her first solo song which she co-wrote with lyricist Shakeel Sohail and was a hit.
Producer Shiraz Uppal corrected Aima shortly after her remarks were made public, stating that ‘Funkari’ was entirely his song and that Aima was merely lying.

Here are the exact words of Shiraz:
“Get your facts right lady. Shakeel Sohail passed away 6 months before writing this song and the last he co-wrote with me was another single for you named Faraq Faraq.So Funkari was written, composed, and produced by me and you just came to sing it that only took 3 hours.”
Despite both parties' clarifications, Uppal opened up about the situation.
During a recent guest appearance in ‘Bakamal’. Uppal revealed the details of the situation.
The singer stressed that many people in the music business refused to give the true maestro behind their hit songs the credit they deserved. Additionally, Uppal claimed to have collaborated with music industry titans like Atif Aslam, so he called out Baig to set an example for others.

It is important to highlight that Aima Baig has had a great deal of success. She began her career on ‘Mazaaq Raat’ and became one of Pakistan's top playback singers.
