Zardari reaches Lahore to observe NA-133 by-election

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman and former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari (AAZ) Friday reached Lahore to observe the NA-133 by-elections.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, AAZ stayed at the Bilawal House in Bahria Town where he would hold some important meetings with the party leaders belonging to upper Punjab and central Punjab.
During his visit, the report said that he would observe the PPP ticket holder Ch Aslam Gill’s election campaign and would discuss the strategy to win the by-election from Nawaz League’s candidate Shaista Pervez Malik.
After disqualifying the ruling PTI’s candidate from the NA-133 by-elections, a tough competition between PPP and PML-N was being expected.
Central Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf will also meet the former president of Pakistan and discuss the current political scenario and the party strategy.
