Doctor rapes female patient at Lahore hospital

CM Naqvi takes notice of rape of patient by doctor

A doctor allegedly raped her female patient at a public hospital located on Wahdat Road in Lahore on Thursday, reported 24NewswHD TV channel. 

According to police, 22-year-old Kiran went to Jinnah Filter Hospital for her ultrasound, where Dr Tahir gave her sedative medication that left her semiconscious.

The doctor then subjected her to sexual assault while she was in semiconscious state and fled away from the hospital. The girl was shifted to hospital for medical treatment.

A case has been registered against two accused including Dr Tahir on the complaint of the husband of the victim girl.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday took notice of alleged rape with a female patient by a doctor at a hospital in Wahdat Colony and sought report from the CCPO, Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Asserting the suspect deserved strict punishment, the chief minister ordered his immediate arrest. “Rape with a patient at a hospital cannot be tolerated,” he said categorically.

He ordered the provision of justice to the victim girl.
