Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former minister Hammad Azhar Wednesday announced to leave PTI Punjab president and general secretary portfolios, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Taking to social media platform ‘X’ (formerly known as twitter), Mian Hammad Azhar sent his resignation to the party leadership. “After much deliberation, I have decided to resign from the post of President and General Secretary of Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab,” he said adding that I understand that for the effective leadership of the party in Punjab, it is necessary to be present on the ground and have direct access to the founding chairman.”
