Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said in a tweet that two churches have been fully restored within 72 hours of the tragic Jaranwala incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
He stated these remarks during a meeting of the cabinet held in AEC Church, Esa Nagri, Jaranwala.
The meeting was held in the Jaranwala church to express solidarity with the Christian brothers.
On the occasion, the chief minister said that the Punjab government was committed to restoring all the damaged churches.
He also announced Rs2 million each for the families whose houses were burnt in the tragic incident.
“Inshallah, this assistance will reach them within the next 48 hours,” he vowed.
