The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) anti-human trafficking circle teams have arrested an Afghan woman at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport who was trying to board a US-bound flight on fake documents, reported 24 NewsHD TV channel.
FIA Deputy Director Bhawal Osto told media on Saturday that Afghan woman Sana Khawaja crossed into Pakistan on November 13 from Chaman Border on medical grounds.
According to initial probe, accused came to Pakistan and applied for US visa citing medical checkup. However, woman failed to produce proof of her medical issues. FIA claimed that woman also used fake documents for seeking entry in Pakistan.
Afghan woman claimed that her cousin had advised her to reach Pakistan and then apply for US visa from Pakistan.
The arrested accused has been transferred to Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further legal action, said Deputy Director Bahawal Ostu.
