Operation Raddul Fasaad materialises dream of peaceful Pakistan

The country has witnessed a significant decrease in terrorist activities as a result of operations conducted by security forces across Pakistan under the banner of Operation Raddul Fasaad.
According to the informed sources, the security forces destroyed the network of the terrorist organisations, taking effective measures against extremism and hate material.
The security forces restored the writ of the government in the tribal areas of Pakistan by carrying out kinetic operations for area clearance and launching socio-economic uplift projects.
Under capacity enhancement of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), 67 new wings of FC were established from 2017 till date. The security forces also trained 40,000 policemen as well as 22,000 Levies and Khasadar officials across the country.
Under Border Management, 95 per cent of work on the Pak-Afghan border is complete, whereas, over 78 per cent of work on the Pak-Iran border is also complete. Moreover, the construction of as many as 679 fortresses, border posts, and border terminals have also been completed.
In demining operations, the security forces cleared 60,000 square kilometres of tribal areas. Writ of the government was restored along the Pak-Afghan border through operations in North Waziristan and Khyber areas.
The safe return of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs), and security of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other projects, was also ensured.
Under the National Action Plan (NAP), more than 78 notorious terrorists and terrorist organisations were tried in the military courts and handed down punishments.
As many as 1,200 extremists were also made to follow the path of peace. Due to a decline in the crime rate, Karachi city fell from 6 in the international rankings to 124. Evil designs of foreign agencies against Pakistan were also exposed.
Security was also provided to the teams collecting data for the 6th population census and administering the anti-polio vaccine to children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
As a result of peace in the country, international cricket and other sports activities revived. Foreign players arrived in the country for Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches.
The tribal areas were merged with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and all powers were transferred to police and local administration. Reforms were also introduced for religious seminaries and border security.
Due to peace in Pakistan, Gwadar has now become the centre of the world’s attention. K2 mountain tourism is becoming popular. Tourists now flock to the northern areas. Followers of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Sikhism arrive in large numbers to visit their sacred places in Pakistan.
Five years ago, when Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched, Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Bajwa had said: “Every Pakistani is a soldier of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. Let’s make Pakistan safe and strong together.”
In five years, security forces and the people of Pakistan successfully materialised the dream of a peaceful Pakistan. Today’s Pakistan is the result of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
