Gold prices in Pakistan on Tuesday saw a significant rise, aligning with an upward trend in international markets.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs300, bringing it to Rs283,200. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold climbed by Rs257, reaching Rs242,798.
This surge followed a similar trend on Monday when the per tola price of gold rose by Rs500 to settle at Rs282,900. The association attributed the rise in domestic prices to the corresponding increase in global gold rates.
Internationally, gold was priced at $2,711 per ounce, including a premium of $20, reflecting a $3 increase during the day. Analysts link this steady growth in gold prices to various global economic factors, including inflation concerns and fluctuating currency values, which drive investors towards safe-haven assets like gold.
On the other hand, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged. The per tola price of silver was steady at Rs3,372, showing no fluctuations despite the dynamic movement in gold rates.
