Pakistan’s textile exports rise for fifth consecutive month

Good news for the country's economy as for the fifth consecutive month, country’s textile exports recorded an increase, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to report, the Pakistani textile sector exports increased by six percent monthly and one percent on annual basis.
In December 2024, textile sector exports stood at $1.5 billion.
The main reason for the increase in textile sector exports is the increase in value-added exports.
Now, readymade garment exports from Pakistan have also started picking up.
Exports of art, silk and synthetic textiles grew by 22 percent annually and 28 percent monthly.
Textile exports in Pakistani rupees have reached Rs411 billion.
Value-added textiles include netwear, bedwear, towels and ready-made garments.
Pakistani textile exports have exceeded $9 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year, with an annual increase of 10 percent.
