Veteran film actress Zeba Begum recovering from cardiac illness

Veteran Pakistani film actress Zeba Begum’s health improved on Saturday. However, her family has appealed to Zeba’s fans and well-wishers to continue praying for her complete recovery. 

Zeba was hospitalised in Rawalpindi on Friday with heart-related problems. Her son-in-law Shahid Ali told City42 she is feeling better now, but she is still under treatment. 

Zeba was one of the top actresses of the Pakistani film industry in the 1960s and early 1970s and she was voted among 25 of the greatest actors of Asia in a 2010 CNN poll. She made her debut in the movie Chiragh Jalta Raha in 1962.
