India cannot hide brutal oppression of Kashmiris: Shehbaz

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the unprovoked firing by the Indian Army in the Nakyal Sector along the Line of Control that left three civilians wounded.

In a statement, Shehbaz, who is also Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, asked the international community to take notice of repeated ceasefire violations by the Indian Army along the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir and the Working Boundary. He said targeting civilians was a violation of the international law.

The opposition leader said such violations exposed the cowardice and unprofessionalism of the Indian Army. He said that New Delhi could not hide its brutal oppression of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir. He expressed solidarity and empathy with those wounded in the firing and prayed for their fast recovery.
