Masjid Al Haram minbar intruder being grilled

Authorities are grilling the man nabbed over a bid to approached the minbar of Masjid Al Haram during Jumu’ah Khutbah (Friday sermon), a spokesman said.
Khateeb Sheikh Baleelah was delivering the sermon when the man in Ihram attempted to sneak into the minbar, a video posted on Twitter showed.
“An incident took place earlier today when a man in Ihram attempted to enter the minbar of Masjid Al Haram, Makkah while Sheikh Baleelah was delivering the Khutbah, the man was apprehended by Public Security Officials immediately and has been taken into custody,” states a thread on Twitter.
The guards nailed the man and handed him over to the personnel concerned. The state law will take its course, a spokesman for the police said.
