The top leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has stopped the party members and workers from coming to Islamabad tonight, 24NewsHD TV channel reports.

According to sources, the leadership has asked the workers to wait for further orders.

They added that the party leadership had already directed its members to travel to the capital on Friday ‘individually’.

The orders created confusion among the workers, as Islamabad will be sealed tomorrow, they said, adding that the decision would add to their woes.

The insiders said the orders have been passed to protect the party workers from travel if there is a breakthrough in the negotiations with the government.

However, the government has ruled out talks with the PTI.

Talking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the federal government was not holding talks with the PTI as the latter was not serious.

He questioned why the PTI gives protest calls at a time when foreigners visit the state.

Earlier, the minister told the court that containers were placed to protect the federal capital and such steps were being taken in the wake of the recent wave of terrorism in the country.

He told the IHC chief justice that a Belarusian delegation was set to visit Pakistan and protest at the moment would bring a bad image.

Today more than three dozen people embraced martyrdom in the Kurram district, he said as he briefed the court about the law and order situation.
