Free Wi-Fi service expanded to more Punjab cities

Provision of free Wi-Fi service in different cities of Punjab including Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib and Sheikhupura has been increased at more than 230 locations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the scope of free Wi-Fi service in Punjab is continuously increasing.
Safe City is providing free Wi-Fi service at 200 points in Lahore, 10 points in Qasur, 15 points in Sheikhupura and 5 points in Nankana Sahib.
According to spokesperson, about 7.7 million users used 111 TB of data in three months and the average availability was 98.7.
Free internet facility is helping in education, business and social interaction, spokesperson said.
The spokesperson further said that making Punjab a digital province, free Wi-Fi service is an important step in this direction.
Citizens are making their daily lives easier by availing the free Wi-Fi service, spokesperson said.
