A full bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday granted bail to PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The three-judge bench announced the unanimous decision in the assets beyond means and money laundering case.
The three-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi pronounced the verdict. The other two members of the bench were Justice Miss Aalia Neelum and Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi.
In the written short order, the full bench stated that the bail of Shehbaz Sharif was approved due to the delay in the trial.
The court also directed Shehbaz Sharif to submit two surety bonds of Rs5 million each against which the bail was granted.
The court asked Shehbaz Sharif to submit the bail bonds in the trial court.

Earlier during the hearing, Azam Nazir Tarar Advocate, counsel for PML-N president, said that his client caused financial loss to the sugar mills of his own family but did not give subsidy. “Here I would like to say that not a single penny of corruption has been proved against Shehbaz Sharif,” he added.
The NAB Prosecutor, on the occasion, said that Shehbaz Sharif was the main accused in the money laundering case.
Last week, the LHC chief justice had formed a new bench to hear the bail petition of Shehbaz Sharif after the previous bench came up with a split decision on Shehbaz Sharif’s release on bail.
On Wednesday last, the LHC full bench adjourned the hearing of the bail petition seeking arguments from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor.
