A private airline’s flight from Karachi to Lahore, with 100 passengers on board, escaped a disaster when it developed a technical fault immediately after taking off from the Jinnah International Airport on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Quoting its sources, the TV channel reported that after noticing the fault the captain of the AirSial flight contacted the air traffic controller, and sought his permission for landing the plane at Karachi’s airport.

The controller immediately granted the permission.

Quoting the airline’s officials, sources said that work on removing the fault had begun.

They informed the passengers would now leave for Lahore on board an alternate flight at 9:00 at night.
