Unicef hands over 14 tons protective gear for health workers

The Unicef Pakistan has handed over to Pakistan government 14 tons of protective equipment for health workers. The equipment included thermometers, masks, gloves and gowns.
The assistance came amid reports from throughout Pakistan that doctors and medical staff are finding it difficult to handle the situation arising of the coronavirus spread. Lack of proper medical facilities and gear is also compounding their problems.
Earlier doctors had staged a strike and refused to handle the patients until there were provided with the proper medical gear and kits.
