Cop injured in blast near police van in Quetta

A policeman was injured when an explosion occurred near a patrol vehicle in Quetta on Friday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Soon after receiving the report of blast, rescue teams rushed to the blast site which happened in Burori area in Western Bypass in Quetta.

Police officials reportedly stated that a hand grenade was thrown at the vehicle, resulting in injuries to one officer, who was subsequently transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

The police vehicle sustained minor damage. Security forces and a bomb disposal squad were at the scene conducting investigations.
