MDCAT exam postponed in Islamabad due to PTI protest

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) on Friday announced to postpone MDCAT examination scheduled to be held on November 24, 2024 in Islamabad due to the planned protest rally of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Now the management is considering to hold these exams on December 8 and December 15, respectively.

Sources said that management of SZABMU also informed Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) in this regard.

Final date-sheet will be issued by the management of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University.

It is also necessary to mention here that Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered to retake exams of MDCAT. SZABU management also filed an appeal in the Islamabad High Court.

The management of SZABU already completed registration process of eligible candidates for MDCAT exams. 

Sources further revealed that around 17,585 will pcariticpate in MDCAT examinations in Islamabad.
