Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate Lt-Gen (r) Bilal Akbar will reach Riyadh on April 25 while outgoing envoy Raja Ali Ejaz will leave for the homeland on April 28.
In a message, the outgoing envoy said he is going back after shifting the responsibilities to an experienced person. He expressed the hope that the new diplomate will continue cementing Saudi-Pak ties.

Lt-Gen (r) Bilal met President Dr Arif Alvi at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday. The president congratulated Bilal Akbar on his appointment as Pakistan’s envoy to Saudi Arabia. He expressed confidence that he would make concerted efforts to strengthen bilateral economic and investment cooperation.
