The Sindh government has decided to build a mausoleum over Shahenshah-e-Ghazal Mehdi Hasan Khan’s grave due to the existent state of the grave being in unsatisfactory and poor conditions.
Mehdi Hasan was an eminent Pakistani singer who composed perpetual content for the Pakistani showbiz industry.
He is particularly remembered for his ‘ghazal singing’ and was bestowed with the honour of "Shahenshah-e-Ghazal" (Emperor of Ghazal).
Mehdi’s impactful voice still has a powerful effect over the masses and is considered to be one of the reasons people on such a massive scale recognized the delicacy and intricateness of ghazals.
Mehdi Hasan paved the road for many influential stars of modern age. Due to his unique approach to the world of melody, the biggest singers including Sonu Nigam and Jagjit Singh’s voice resonates and leaves an empowering impact over the senses.
