President House sits on PM summary for summoning Senate session

Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has reached Islamabad from Quetta as the President House hasn’t yet approved the summary forwarded by the Prime Minister for summoning the upper house session at 2pm today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

A summary with the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was sent to the President House for convening the Senate session in the noon today. But President Dr Arif Alvi has not yet signed the summary. 

Senate Chairman Sanjrani specially flew from Quetta to Islamabad to look into the matter.

The government and opposition senators have started reaching the Parliament House. 

In today’s session, the upper house was to approve the Islamabad Local Bodies Amendment Act. 

The National Assembly has already approved the bill. 

All senators were informed about the agenda of today’s session. 

The ministry of parliamentary affairs dispatched the summary to the President House yesterday.
