KEMU holds International maternal Mortality conference 2023

King Edward Medical University held an International Maternal Mortality conference Thursday for the prevention and treatment of maternal morbidity and mortality in women, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
King Edward Medical University Vice Chancellor Mahmood Ayaz stated that the main aim to invite experts of different specializations to the conference is for them to share their experiences and views on how pregnant women can be saved from mortality during deliveries and how the ratio of maternal mortality and morbidity can be controlled.
The founder of Pakistan’s first ever In vitro fertilization (IVF) center Professor Dr. Rashid Latif Khan said that the ratio of maternal mortality is quite a lot and we all should play our role in controlling it. He said that the patients and their families should be given awareness that a young mother can be saved if proper medication and precautions are taken at the right time and for this awareness, we are in dire need of the media’s help.
Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice Chancellor Professor Khalid Masood Gondal said that the establishment of four new specialties in King Edward Medical University is very commendable. He said that they will strive jointly to make King Edward Medical University and Fatimah Jinnah Medical University the best medical institutions in the world.
Many renowned personalities from the field of medicine including Prof. Rashid Latif Khan, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, former Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof. Aamir Zaman Khan, Prof. Faisal Sultan, Prof. Mohammad Tayyab participated in the conference.
