Multitalented Pakistani celebrity Yasir Hussain has appeared as a guest on Maliha Rehman’s show, where he shared his observations about celebrity divorces.
During the candid conversation with the host, the actor gave the reason that comes to mind about increasing celebrity divorces nowadays.
With an interesting statement, he gave his answer as follows:
“Two actors can be happily married; two stars cannot be happily married.”
The writer further justified his statement by using his own marriage as an example. He expressed that the reason they are happily married is because there is only one star in their house, and that star is Iqra Aziz. He proudly acknowledges her accomplishments and contributions to their relationship.
The host asked him to elaborate on his definition of a star.
In response, he explained that Iqra's fan following is like a constellation of stars, her body of work shines like stars in the sky, and her manners radiate like a star's light. He mentioned that she has her own management team and is working on popular dramas, while he himself prefers to work on things that he truly likes, making it less likely for him to become a star. He reassured me that there is no need to mind the fact that Iqra is a star and he is not.
He said that look at all the recent divorces in our industry, in all the couples there was the same case that both partners were stars.
Yasir concluded by stating that two stars don't usually work together in the same movie or drama, which suggests that there is a very low possibility of them living together happily in the same house. According to him, the demands and comparisons of the industry make it challenging for two stars to navigate both their professional and personal lives harmoniously.
