Noor Fatima, an eight-year-old heart patient from Kasur, who been admitted to Lahore’s Bahria Orchard Hospital on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, returned to her hometown on Sunday after having undergone successful heart surgery, and that, too, free of cost, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Two valves of the child’s heart were blocked, and she had been spotted by the chief minister during his visit to the DHQ Hospital, Kasur.
The chief minister arrived at the hospital along with Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, the health secretary and Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Usman Anwar to bid adieu to Fatima.
CM Naqvi and the chief secretary gave presents to the girl, while the IGP kept consoling her.
The chief minister, on the occasion, said he was delighted that at last Fatima was heading home after having fully recovered. “By the grace of The Almighty Allah and the efforts made by doctors, she has got a new lease of life,” he said.
The girl’s mother thanked CM Naqvi as well as the hospital administration for looking after her child and providing her best treatment facilities.
