Three cops arrested for killing a innocent man in Gujranwala

 Three cops have been booked for their alleged killing of an innocent man in Gujranwala city, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.  

According to sources, Model Town police detained three policemen including sub-inspector Waqar, and shifted them to the CPO office for further investigation.

On Friday, a police team went to a house located in Model Police Station jurisdiction to conduct a raid and arrested a suspect known as Faisal. Whereas, some unknown reasons prompted the police to open fire on the house. As a result, the victim’s brother identified as Sufyan was killed. The family claimed that cops instead of arresting the suspect, opened indiscriminate firing on the house and one of the bullets struck Faisal’s brother Sufyan.

Whereas the police team claimed that the victim was not killed by their firing, instead both brothers indulged in a fight which resulted in the death of Sufyan.

Later, the relatives of the murdered Sufyan identified the four policemen involved in the incident with the help of CCTV footage.

Following a strong protest, the high officials have ordered to arrest the cops. 

DIG Gujranwala also constituted a committee to investigate the incident. The committee is investigating and finding out more facts about the incident, police sources said

Teams are conducting raids to arrest other police personnel, police sources said. 

Earlier, the police also registered a case of Sufyan's murder against unknown persons.

However, CCTV footage has exposed the whole truth about the four cops who were clearly seen firing at the man.
