Fire erupts at shopping plaza in Islamabad

A shopping plaza at Golra Morr in Islamabad caught fire on Thursday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.   

The fire that erupted at a store of furniture showroom situated on the third floor of the building soon engulfed all shops.

Soon after having been informed, fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot to extinguish the blaze, while more vehicles were called.

Ambulances, too, reached the site in order to shift the injured to hospitals.

According to Rescue1122 personnel, the fire was the result of short-circuit.

Sources told 24News TV channel that firefighters were facing difficulties in dousing the flames.
