Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday instructed the concerned authorities to take measures to significantly reduce the load shedding by the month of May, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

PM Shehbaz expressed anger over the increase in power load shedding in the country and the plight of the people and the premier ordered the authorities to take action on an emergency basis.

PM Shehbaz said, “Until the people get rid of this torment, I will not sit with patience nor allow anyone to sit”.

PM Shehbaz directed concerned authorities to make every effort to save citizens from the pain caused by the criminal negligence of the former government.

The premier asked the authorities to improve the interim measures till oil and gas are arranged.

PM Shehbaz flayed the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and said Nawaz Sharif’s government had provided ample amount of extra power in the country, adding that the Imran government did not add a new unit.

The premier said the fuel was not procured on time, adding that factories were not repaired.

PM Shehbaz said that Imran’s government shuts down the cheapest and fastest power plants of Nawaz’s era, adding that expensive power plants that produce less power were used.

The nation has to pay the price of this injustice in the form of Rs100 billion per month, said the premier. 

PM Shehbaz took a jibe at the former government and said the one LNG ship that was available at Rs6billion is now costing the nation Rs20 billion, adding that this tyranny of the Imran government will cost the nation more than Rs500 billion this year.

PM Shehbaz said that a conspiracy was done to bankrupt Pakistan's economy by destroying the energy sector.

PM Shehbaz also visited Ramazan Bazaar and check prices of items.

PM Shehbaz, Fazl to leave for KSA on April 27

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will leave for Saudi Arabia on April 27.

Sources privy to the matter said that during their visit to Saudi Arabia, premier Shehbaz and JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman are also expected to meet with senior Saudi officials.

Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman will also perform Umrah.

PM Shehbaz to visit Dera Ismail Khan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Dera Ismail Khan, the constituency of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The prime minister will announce mega projects for Dera Ismail Khan District including an agriculture university and two embankments along the Indus River. He is also likely to address a huge public gathering there.

It is worth mentioning here that Shehbaz Sharif, since his election as Prime Minister, has been visiting different parts of Pakistan, especially those in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, in an attempt to alleviate a sense of deprivation among people there.
