In order to implement its manifesto, the PML-N-led Shehbaz Sharif government has expedited its work to abolish the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, the PML-N government has sought advice from the ministries and divisions concerned on mechanism and legislation required to shut down the NAB office, established by a dictator to pressure politicians.

Moreover, the PML-N government has constituted various teams to implement its manifesto in letter and spirit, they maintained.

The insiders said the PML-N has also sought recommendations that before the closure of NAB government must focus on improving the performance and efficiency of FIA and the Anti-Corruption Department so that the fight against corruption and mismanagement can go on.

They said the government should take all stakeholders and parties on board before making any legislation to finish the NAB.
