Selfie craze drowns two friends in Neelum River

Although incidents of people losing their lives while taking selfies are reported in media more frequently now so much so that psychiatrists have now declared that these people are mentally sick, but the fact remains that their obsession with this unique kind of self-projection refuses to die down, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

In one such incident near Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) last night (Monday, August 23), two youths drowned in Neelum River while taking selfies.
Both of them namely Umar Aslam and Mumtaz Murtaza belonged to Morra Sadiq area of the AJK and were friends who had gone to the Neelum River for recreation.

According to eyewitnesses, when feet of one of these friends slipped and he fell into the river, the other also dived in to rescue him. But unluckily, both of them drowned.
On receiving information, rescue officials rushed to the site of the incident but failed to save the lives of both of them.
