Countless deserving artists ‘ignored’ for civil awards: Simi Raheel

Senior Pakistani actress Simi Raheel has expressed reservations regarding the distribution of civil presidential awards served in a ceremony held a day before: however, the star also expressed encouragement for Sarmad Khoosat, a big name in the industry, who has been deprived of the award after a sudden ‘disappearance’ of his name from the list.

In case the readers are not aware, a bunch of acclaimed Pakistani stars including Sajal Aly, Juggun Kazim, Adnan Siddiqui, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Vasay Chaudhry, and many others have been awarded the country's civil award ‘Tamgha e Imtiaz’ (award of excellence) by the government of Pakistan for their incredible contributions in the field.
