Punjab government has decided to sponsor 10,000 Christian families on this Easter, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
According to the channel, for the purpose, Punjab government has also issued a grant of Rs50 million to Christian families for Easter.
As per the decision, Rs5,000 per family will be given to Christians community of 36 districts of Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the administration of all districts to ensure the distribution of Easter grant in a transparent manner.
She also ordered to complete the distribution of grants to deserving Christian families, disabled people, sick and orphans in four days.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Minority Wing Punjab Chief Coordinator Rahila Khadim Hussain has been nominated as the focal person for distribution of Easter grant.
PML-N Minority Wing Punjab has also been directed to monitor the distribution of Easter Grant.
