The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health minister expressed ‘grave’ concerns about the health of Bushra Bibi, the wife of ex-PM Imran Khan.

In a letter to the Punjab chief secretary, the KP minister said he wanted a medical examination of Bushra Bibi by his government’s medical panel.

He added: “Through this letter, I want to express my grave concern over the claims of poisonous food being given to Bushra Bibi (wife of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and founder of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Mr Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi) in her incarceration causing her severe pain also.

“A panel of doctors made by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would like to examine her to determine the potential poisoning or otherwise. This being her constitutional right is of utmost importance and a positive reply from your kind office would be highly appreciated.”
