NCOC seeks provincial proposals on cattle markets

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) met on Thursday with Planning and Development Minister Asad Umer in the chair.
The meeting was told about the provision of beds to the federal capital hospitals to combat Covid-19.
The NCOC also asked the provinces to share their proposals for establishing cattle markets under such an extraordinary situation ahead of Eidul Azha.
A total of 189 oxygenated beds have been added – 117 PIMS, 13 Polyclinic and 59 to CDA Hospital while PIMS and CDA hospitals also got 20 and 21 ventilators, the meeting was told.
The sitting also deliberated upon contingency plans while the participants were told that 325 oxygenated beds will be provided to Rawalpindi hospitals in 10 days.
During the last meeting, the minister explained targeted lockdown and said there was a positive difference seen in the urban areas with maximum compliance of wearing masks in public places.
