Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid a surprise visit to Children's Library Complex in Lahore on Tuesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On the arrival of Chief Minister, she found that lights, fans and air-conditioners in empty rooms of the library and the auditorium were on.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed her displeasure to see the unnecessary waste of government resources.
Maryam Nawaz has asked for a detailed report about the Children's Library Complex and ordered to prepare immediate plan for regular functionalization of Children's Library Complex.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also reviewed the various areas of the main building of the Children's Library Complex.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inspected the library, audio-visual section, auditorium and offices and also visited the special section for special children.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took information about the function and performance of various sections.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also inspected the almost empty gymnasium and swimming pool.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif reviewed the facilities in Center of Geology, AI, Artificial Section and other departments.
The Children's Library Complex was inaugurated in 1988 by Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as Chief Minister.
Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Information Minister Uzmi Zahid Bukhari, Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, MPA Nausheen Adnan, Secretary Education Dr. Ehtesham Anwar and other officials were also present.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also visited Sagian Ring Road and got brief about controlled excess corridor Niazi Interchange to Babu Sabu.
In the brief, the CM was briefed about the project construct.
