Jamiat Ulema Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said there is more rigging in the 2024 elections than in 2018.
In an interview, he said the coalition government is made of forced adjustments and the Pakistan People's Party has no role in the government except to complete the numbers.
He added: “We stood up against the establishment and launched a movement nationwide. A public meeting will be held in Muzaffargarh district of Punjab on June 1.
“We have spent our entire lives with this democratic system and through this experience, it became clear that from this country to America, democracy is only a fake name.
He continued: “In 2018 too, we were in action against the establishment’s interference with politics and we have been doing so since then.
“The establishment sticks to its guns. We do not accept it. We cannot live like slaves.
“We will leave the country but the slavery to the establishment is unacceptable.”
In response to a question on Afghanistan, he said he went to Afghanistan to pave the way for better relations with Pakistan.
“The Afghan rulers were also ready for all possible cooperation with Pakistan, but in the election, our strength was weakened systematically,” he said adding that an attempt was made to push back a party which would serve Pakistan.
Similarly, he stressed efforts should be made to improve relations with other neighbouring countries
“The region should be united and Asia be made a bloc but the biggest obstacle is the establishment.
Our dispute with India was over Kashmir. Now Kashmir has been given to India, this conflict should end.” Fazl maintained.
