Former ASI shot dead in Karachi

A former assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was shot dead in Sector-10 of Karachi’s Surjani Town while his son and a woman were injured in the incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Police said that the assailants fled from the scene after committing the crime.
Rescue officials told the media that the body of the deceased as well as those injured were shifted to a hospital.
Apparently, the incident seemed to be the result of resisting a robbery bid, police said, and added that further probe was underway.
