Punjab CM removes negligent MS, doctor of Data Darbar Eye Hospital

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has removed Medical Superintendent (MS) and ordered to terminate the contract of a doctor absent from duty during his surprise visit to Data Darbar Eye Hospital late Friday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The chief minister along with the members of provincial cabinet paid a surprise visit to Data Darbar Eye Hospital.
The MS, doctors and the guard at gate were missing, the nurses were sleeping whereas everyone was present in the attendance register while the hospital was empty and the patients were “referred to Allah”.
During his visit, CM Mohsin Naqvi along with ministers made a detailed inspection of the hospital. He went to the gynaecology ward and eye ward, and found dirty bed sheets, poor cleanliness and sanitation. Seeing the condition of the hospital he expressed anger and removed MS of the hospital from his seat.
After chief minister’s arrival, the residents of the area gathered at the hospital and piled their complaints in front of him regarding the lack of medical facilities and absence of doctors.
CM Mohsin Naqvi ordered to withdraw the management of the hospital from the Auqaf Department and handed it over to the primary healthcare department immediately.
CM Mohsin Naqvi called the health secretary on the spot and instructed him to take over the management of the hospital.
Mohsin Naqvi immediately ordered to produce attendance register of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and checked the attendance record.
The attendance register was handed over to Provincial Minister of Auqaf Azfar Ali Nasir who ordered an inquiry into the attendance record.
The chief Minister said that the hospital is in a very bad condition, it is very sad to see the condition.
Mohsin Naqvi immediately called the Secretary Construction and Communications and gave him instructions regarding improving the hospital.
Provincial Ministers Mansoor Qadir, Aamir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, Dr Jamal Nasir, Ibrahim Hasan Murad and Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar were also present.
Punjab CM pays surprise visit to Sherakot police station
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a surprise visit of Sherakot police station early in the Saturday morning.
During his visit he found that the front desk staff is missing and computers and internet are also closed
During inspection, he also found a number of youngster in lockup who were arrested in cases of riding motorcycles without a license.
However, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered the release of 11 younsters who were driving motorcycles without a license after completing the necessary legal proceedings.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed the police to take affidavits from the parents of the youth.
You are being released on the basis of humanitarianism and you should get a license first, then drive a motorcycle, Chief Minister advised the youngsters.
However, the 11 released youth thanked Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi called the DIG Operations on the spot and instructed to get an alternative device for the front desk.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi heard the problem of the elderly woman Hanifan Bibi in the police station and issued instructions to the police to recover the son of the elderly woman.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also checked the records of the police station.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi asked the young man sitting in the reporting room the reason for coming to the police station who told that wires and dyes have been stolen from my shop and the police is not filing a report.
On which Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered SSP Law and Order to take immediate steps to redress the complaint.
Provincial Ministers Mansoor Qadir, Amir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, Dr. Jamal Nasir and Ibrahim Murad were also present on occasion.
