Three die as more Indian water swells River Sutlej at Arifwala
Pakistan Army steps up rescue and relief operation in different Punjab cities

The situation is still precarious as River Sutlej continued to swell on account of more water released by India into the river in recent days, while Pakistan Army, on the other hand, continued its rescue and relief operation in the affected areas, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The river wreaks havoc at Arifwala where three people died after they were swept away by floodwater.
Rescue 1122 personnel later handed over the bodies to their families.
Around 28 kilometers of area around the river has been inundated, leaving over dozen villages, towns and crops submerged.
The local administration, on the other hand, has started distributing ration among victims of the calamity.
All schools have been closed in the area for an indefinite time period.
Homes, roads washed away by floodwater at Pakpattan
The situation is still grim at Pakpattan where several homes and crops grown over hundreds of acres have been inundated while roads have also been washed away.
The affected people, on the other hand, are looking up to the administration to rescue them.
On the other hand, Pakistan Army goes ahead with its relief and rescue operation in the areas affected by deluge.
Army personnel have set up free medical camps in the low-lying areas of Bahawalpur division while they are also distributing ration among the flood-affected people.
They are also evacuating people from their homes in Mailsi, Chishtian, Minchanabad, Pakpattan, Arifwala, Vehari, Lodhran, Burewala and Head Sulemanki.
