The Federal Investigation Agency has arrested two fraudsters including an imposter ‘FIA director’ on the charge of looting gullible citizens, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Reportedly, the FIA Cybercrime Wing, Karachi apprehended two swindlers who would loot naïve citizens.

In the first incident, the FIA arrested a man, Imran Abbas, from Rawalpindi who hoodwinked people after telling them that he was the Sindh FIA director.

Accused Abbas robbed Rs1 million from a former superintendent of Qatar Hospital, Dr Razzaq. He offered the doctor that he would transfer and post him back to the Qatar Hospital if he gave him Rs1 million. The doctor paid him the amount demanded by the swindler.

Accused Abbas immediately withdrew the amount as soon as it was deposited in his bank account.

Later, Dr Razzaq came to know of his fraud and registered a complaint against him.

Yesterday, the FIA arrested accused Abbas from Rawalpindi and shifted him to Karachi.

In the second incident, the FIA Cybercrime Wing held another conman, Mustafa Ahmad Ghauri from Karachi. He was also involved in a financial scam.
