Notorious offenders killed in failed Lahore police custody escape

Two notorious criminals, Adnan alias Dani and Mubashir Masih, were killed during a police encounter in Lahore while being transported for the recovery of weapons and stolen goods, according to the 24NewsHDTV channel.

Police sources revealed that unidentified accomplices of the accused ambushed the police team, opening indiscriminate fire. During the exchange, Adnan and Mubashir sustained critical injuries. They were rushed to the hospital, but both succumbed to their wounds en route.

DSP Danish Asif Ranjha disclosed that Adnan was a proclaimed offender wanted in 54 cases, including murder, robbery, and snatching. Mubashir confessed before his death that the attack was carried out by their accomplices, identified as Ejaz alias Jaji, Akram alias Akri, and Mehtab Yasir, in an attempt to free them from custody.

Adnan was also involved in the murder of a citizen in Sharaqpur. Despite the intense crossfire, the police team emerged unscathed, while the attackers managed to flee under the cover of darkness. A search operation is underway to apprehend the remaining culprits.
