Acting on the court orders, police and the district administration of Hafizabad, in a late-night operation, got the PTI’s district secretariat vacated to retrieve the land they alleged the PTI leaders had occupied, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The police besides locking the secretariat also removed the party’s boards around it.
A heavy police contingent was later deployed outside the secretariat to prevent the entry of PTI leaders and workers in it.
As per the version given by former PTI MNA Mehdi Hassan Bhatti, he had purchased the land in 2002 from a man who later died.
