Ahead of the nationwide strike on August 28, the majority of Lahore's trader community has announced their support, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to the report, key groups such as Anjuman Tajran Ashraf Bhatti Group, Khalid Pervez Group, and the Central Organization of Traders have declared their participation in the strike.

However, the Anjuman Tajran Naeem Mir Group has opposed the strike and plans to keep markets open.

Naeem Badshah, President of Landa Bazaar, has announced that Nolakha Landa Bazaar will remain closed, while Ashraf Bhatti, President of All Pakistan Traders, has declared that Anarkali and other markets will also shut down in support of the strike. Khalid Pervez, another prominent trader leader, has also backed the strike.

Meanwhile, traders associated with the Central Organization of Traders of Pakistan have confirmed their participation in the strike, while those linked with Anjuman Tajran Naeem Mir Group are advocating for keeping the markets open.

Additionally, Mian Khalil Ubaid, President of Shahdara Board, has declared that markets under his jurisdiction will remain open, while Senior Vice President of Hall Road, Sardar Azhar Sultan, has voiced his opposition to the strike.
