Passengers at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport who had to board an Airblue airline’s flight for Karachi have been waiting for well over the last 37 hours for the flight’s departure, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Extremely angry over an inordinate delay in the departure of the flight, the passengers said on Wednesday that the flight was scheduled to leave for Karachi at 9:00 AM on December 25, but despite repeated assurances given by the airline’s management, it was not ready for the takeoff as yet.
They further said that yesterday it had been confirmed that the flight would depart at 10:30 at night, but it was cancelled too. The plane was sent to a foreign country instead, they complained.
They went on to say that despite repeatedly calling the airline’s spokesman, he could not be contacted.
The protestors demanded the airline’s management to refund their money if the flight had been cancelled.
