Senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Syed Khursheed Shah, has confidently declared that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will undoubtedly serve as Pakistan's prime minister in the future.
Speaking to 24NewsHD TV Channel exclusively, he said the PPP does not believe in "begging for votes" to bring its leaders to power, asserting that Bilawal’s premiership would come through a clear and decisive mandate.
Addressing recent comments by Pir Pagara, Khursheed Shah described the spiritual leader’s remarks as unserious, advising him to avoid making statements that are not taken seriously.
Khursheed Shah emphasised that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s future as Prime Minister would not be based on a slim majority of just 70 votes. Instead, he projected that the PPP would secure a robust mandate when the time came.
Discussing the PPP’s alliance with the ruling Nawaz League, Khursheed Shah said it was forged in the best national interest. He expressed his respect for former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi but urged him to offer constructive proposals rather than indulge in criticism.
“Whether Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is in Parliament or not, he remains an important political figure in our country,” Khursheed Shah remarked, adding that his current critical stance should be viewed in the context of his previous statements.
Khursheed Shah also highlighted the pressing need to steer Pakistan out of its ongoing crises, pledging that the PPP would never compromise on its water rights under any circumstances.
