NA-133 by-polls: DRO summons PPP candidate for violation of rules

District Returning Officer (DRO) NA-133 Lahore by-elections has issued notice to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Aslam Gill for violating the code of conduct on Saturday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the DRO NA-133 also summoned the PPP candidate to appear before him in person tomorrow (Sunday) for clarification.
The channel report said that the campaigns of the PPP against the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate were in full swing in the absence of the ruling party—the PTI’s candidate.
The report said that the DRO along with the Returning Officer (RO) and the District Monitoring Officer (DMO) paid a surprise visit to the offices of political parties in the constituency.
As per the report, after their visit, the officials issued notice to the PPP candidate with the charges that the candidate had taken some steps in his election campaign that could affect the voter's right to vote.
So, the officials issued notice to the PPP Candidate Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam Gill and summoned him in person on November 28 for clarification.
The Monitoring team of the by-elections in the Lahore constituency NA-133 also issued instructions to ensure implementation of the code of conduct during the election campaign.
