The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore Sunday arrested an absconder human smuggler involved in visa fraud.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the accused human smuggler Muhammad Ahmed was apprehended following a major operation in Lahore.
The FIA spokesperson said human smuggler Muhammad Ahmed stands accused of orchestrating visa fraud schemes wherein he duped individuals by falsely claiming employment opportunities abroad, especially in Italy.
The FIA spokesperson said that the suspect amassed millions of rupees through his fraudulent activities and collected 8 lac rupees from one complainant alone.
After absconding upon receiving the funds, the accused was tracked down and arrested in Lahore during a raid.
