The officers of the economist group, posted in the Ministry of Planning and Development, Monday vowed to continue pen-down strike till the acceptance of their demands, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
They ended their protest Monday in front of the office of the finance ministry, declaring: “Tomorrow, there will be a pen-down strike again and a protest too in front of the office of the finance ministry.”
“150 per cent executive allowance should be given like other services and groups. An equitable policy should be adopted in the matter of executive allowance,” they demanded.
“The economist group has been deprived of executive allowance. The government has given executive allowance to grade 17 to 22 government employees. Depriving the economist group officers of executive allowance is unfair,” they regretted.
“The economist group officers are playing an important role in the formulation of economic policies. The finance ministry should approve executive allowance for the economist group officers. The pen-down strike will continue till the demand is approved,” they vowed.
